FIAPF honors a personality from the Asia Pacific region at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards every year

Partner of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) since their inception in 2007, FIAPF honors each year during the APSA Ceremony a filmmaker from the region with the FIAPF Award for outstanding achievement in film. This Award celebrates exceptional careers in film which are strongly contributing to the development of our sector at national, regional and international levels and are inspiring future generations.

APSA celebrates the creativity and the diversity of the film production made in the Asia Pacific region, and plays a pivotal role as a platform of exchange for filmmakers from the region.

Indian Producer Bobby Bedi remitted with the 2026 FIAPF Award for Outstanding Contribution in Film in the Asia Pacific Region at the 19th edition of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards

Through landmark films such as ‘Bandit Queen’ and ‘Fire’, Bobby Bedi has championed powerful stories that have challenged audiences and resonated far beyond India. FIAPF is proud to honour a producer whose work demonstrates cinema’s capacity to cross borders, open dialogue and leave a lasting mark on societies. This award also recognises Bobby Bedi’s steadfast commitment to the international community of producers. For more than two decades, he has brought his experience, conviction and generosity to producers’ collective efforts to defend the conditions in which the film sector can thrive at national and global levels.
