FIAPF honors a personality from the Asia Pacific region at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards every year
Partner of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) since their inception in 2007, FIAPF honors each year during the APSA Ceremony a filmmaker from the region with the FIAPF Award for outstanding achievement in film. This Award celebrates exceptional careers in film which are strongly contributing to the development of our sector at national, regional and international levels and are inspiring future generations.
APSA celebrates the creativity and the diversity of the film production made in the Asia Pacific region, and plays a pivotal role as a platform of exchange for filmmakers from the region.
New Zealand actor and producer Cliff Curtis remitted with the 2024 FIAPF Award for Outstanding Contribution in Film in the Asia Pacific Region at the 17th edition of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards
By remitting the FIAPF award to New Zealand actor and producer Cliff Curtis, FIAPF wishes to celebrate his impressive career which was built on demanding choices to both New Zealand and international films, whilst recognizing his strong commitment to screen storytelling that truly speaks to all audiences, including through his personal support of filmmakers from New Zealand’s indigenous communities.
